The Milkman

The Milkman
Rate this post

Very early in the day,
Long before it’s time to play,
I can hear the bottles clink,
Filled with milk for me to drink.

Through the yard the milkman walks,
Always whistles, never talks;
Sets the bottles by the door,
Then goes off to sell some more.

Clink and whistle, lots of noise;
Fresh new milk for girls and boys!
One day I’ll get up and see
Who is bringing milk to me.
